"What do you do when you need new windows, siding, and doors? You call Coastal Windows of course! When my wife and I moved into our house we knew at some point this would all need to be done. The doors were so poorly sealed you could see light all around the edges. On windy days our old windows sounded like a death metal drummer practicing his double bass and there was enough draft to fly a kite. Our shake siding was starting to break and the paint was peeling.So we had a few choices, either be 'that' house in our pretty nice neighborhood or fix up the place. Now parking a bunch of rusty 1980's camaro's on the front lawn with no wheels and resting on cinder blocks next to a few weather beaten torn up tarps flapping in the wind would have completed our look but I had no desire to grow a mullet and I don't think Larry the Cable guy is funny so we went the opposite way.We reached out to Coastal Windows and they sent forth Esther to tell us all about all the cool things we needed to do just in case MTV Cribs ever came back on the air. Esther gave us tons of options and helped us all along the way. We were explained and shown the differences in windows, sidings, and doors and learned a lot along the way. For siding we went with a shake design that looks about as real as you can get. With the windows we went with some filled with Krypton gas, Esther says this is the best for insulation but I did it because I really don't trust Superman, and we capped it off with a sweet new front door, back door, and rear storm door into the mud room.When Coastal Windows got going with construction they were quick and efficient, from stripping the house to getting everything new on it took about a week. Coastal Windows never left us with any holes overnight, if a window was removed it was immediately replaced and the same with the doors. Their contractors also measured multiple times before ordering anything so there were no wrong sizes or delays.The best part is everything carries a life guarantee. Now I have to start eating more vegetables and actually using the treadmill that holds my laundry so I can really take advantage of this! If you're thinking about going somewhere besides Coastal Windows just remember this little piece of advice...don't."
